Background
I started my career at Bahçeşehir University in 2002 as a research assistant, and over the next two decades progressed through roles as Assistant Professor, Vice Dean, Program Coordinator, and Associate Professor. My academic work has focused on industrial economics, competition policy, and digital regulation.
Since 2015, I’ve been working as an Economic Consultant at Dentons, one of the world’s largest law firms, providing expert economic analysis in competition law and regulatory matters. My consulting covers antitrust investigations in platform, electricity, banking, and retail industries, as well as regulatory proceedings on net neutrality, OTT services, and climate policy.
In 2018, I became Associate Editor-in-Chief of Competition and Regulation in Network Industries, an international journal published by SAGE. I also co-edited The Economics and Regulation of Digitalisation: The Case of Türkiye (Routledge, 2024), a comprehensive volume examining Türkiye’s digital transformation from an economic perspective.
More recently, I’ve been applying my analytical background to AI consultancy — helping organizations identify where generative AI and automation can meaningfully enhance their workflows. I also teach “Generative AI for Economic Analysis” at the university level, equipping the next generation of economists with practical AI skills.
I hold a PhD in Economics from Marmara University, an MA in Public Finance from Galatasaray University, and a BA in Economics from Galatasaray University.
